Each year the students at First Lutheran School in Torrance, California participate in a national “Make a Difference Day”. This year they chose to partner with Pens For Kids and “Make a Difference” for kids in Africa giving new meaning to the term “Pen Pals.” The week-long project was kicked off with a presentation by PFK Executive Director, Linda Schaffer and resulted in 400 kids collecting over 10,000 pens! The school also donated shipping costs for 12 boxes of 900 pens each to be sent to Africa. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE! |
